IT'S A GUY THING

Hello Everyone!

So this weekend is Fathers day and it a time to take a moment and remember all the amazing things that your dad has done for you. My dad passed away many years ago but I still stop and think about him on fathers day and I am grateful that I was blessed to have such an amazing father. So even though I don't have a dad in my life any longer I still wanted to create something that will perhaps inspire others to create an amazing gift for their dads.
First I made a wonderful little vintage car book which was inspired by my best friend Cat Woody's dad Lloyd woody.....see he was a huge car fan and it was funny because every time he would see a vintage car he would shout "would you look at that Janet!" (his wife) and such joy would come over his face like a little boy at Christmas. He too was my surrogate dad when mine passed away and now he is gone too but never forgotten.

Now fathers day would not be complete with out a great fathers day Card so I grabbed one of the images from Gecko Galz Who's The man set and combined it with a stamp I had in my files and a banner from Opticillustions.

The next two cards are older cards but I love the techniques on them

For this card I used Paper Studio papers for the boarder and the image is Gecko Galz from their Heraldry collection and then used a glue pen and UTEE in gold to look like old metal.

For this card I used Gecko Galz  Sail Away collection and a piece of textured paper I tore and inked in dark brown and blue. Then I crumpled a piece of Gold velum and tacked it down with glue dots. The sentiment was from K & CO.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fathers day...send a card, make a phone call or pop over and tell your dads you love them!
