MAY FEEBIE FRIDAY........from the costume closet

This month for Freebie Friday I thought it might be fun to head to the theater for inspiration and I came up with some inspirational vintage costume illustrations for all of you to create with.
I am a huge fan of the theater and here is a little known fact about me....I actually went to school to be a costume designer! I had aspirations to be the next Edith Head or Bob Mackey.......needless to say I was not a fan of sewing the costumes so that ended that and I went into art instead! Amazing how things work out. Please enjoy the images and don't forget to tell all your crafting friends to come grab their images!

TAG TUESDAY......Pretty As a Peacock

The theme this week is Peacocks.....I love these majestic birds, their color makes it fun to design using images of them. So this week I used Gecko Galz Pretty Peacock Jewel It images along with papers and elements from Canvas Corp.

Gecko Galz Pretty Peacocks Jewel It Collage Set
Brown and Cream Damask paper by Canvas Corp
Glimmer Mist in Verdigris, Bronze and Graphite by Tattered Angels
Tag & lattice mini Doilie by Gina's Designs
Flowers by Spare Parts
Cheese cloth dyed rust
Pearl & Bling swirls by Prima
pearl drop trim from Hobby Lobby
turquoise lace trim from my stash
Antique Alphabet stamps by EK Success
Green satin bow from my stash
metal embellishment from my stash
Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers & Vintage Photo

Start with your large chipboard tag and spray with your three colors of glimmer mist. Next layer on piece of damask paper that you have inked the edges with both colors of ink then on top of that one the peacock image that I blew up using Photoshop and ink the edges with the same inks. Then add your pearl trim to bottom edge of tag using redline tape and layer over that the lace trim and another piece of the lace trim at teh top of the peacock image.
using your peacock feathers ink stamp love you with your mini alphabet stamps on the inside of the peacock design. Next using Verdigris and bronze glimmer mist spray the doillie then adhere to right side of peacock image. Layer on metal piece and green bow. Scatter pearl and bling swirls down damask paper.
Adhere three flowers at top of tag.
Take your dyed cheese cloth and spray with Verdigris glimmer mist and let dry then finish off tag by tying through hole.
