FRAME FRIDAY.........Pretty as a Princess

For this months frame I did a frame for a very special little girl. Everyone dreams of being a princess and Disney captures the art of being a princess in every way. I started with my wooden frame from Michaels (these are fantastic if you need a last minute gift) and covered with Disney paper by DCWV and inked the edges with Distress ink in Rippened berries. I took an image from DCWV 8x8 Disney princess pack and adhere to the lower left corner. Take your cream Viva pearl pen and add to the frame opening and around the princess image. Next at the top add white lace and pink and yellow braided trim as well as a pink paper rose by recollections. to finish add pearl pen just above the trim.
this is a great baby shower gift.

TAG TUESDAY.........Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail

I thought for this months Tag it would be fun to do an Easter tag, this is a perfect tag to tie to an Easter basket or around a giant chocolate Easter Bunny just to take it to that next level of gift giving!

So you will need to have
Kraft shipping tag by Ranger
Tim Holtz stencil
light pink ink
ink blending tool
white Milk paint
popsicle sticks
images below from Gecko Galz and Jeni Bowlen
Distress ink in vintage photo and purple
little pink flowers by Paper Studio
Viva Pearl Pen in White
Pink ribbon and Fibers

Start by inking tag with light pink ink and stencil.

Then go back and add some of the purple ink.

Next add your printed paper to the tag making sure your edges at the bottom match up.

Ink the edges with your purple ink (use a light touch to get that soft whispy effect)

Next Take your popsicle sticks and cut to different lengths then paint with your white milk paint do not worry if it is streaky we want that shabby chic look and rough edges are fine.

now adhere your sticks to the top edge of the paper you want to make sure they are spaced where you can get 6 sticks across upper edge.

Next take your mini alphabet stamps and brown ink and stamp a letter on each stick that spells out Easter.

Next cut out your Easter bunny and two Bingo cards and ink the bunny edges with brown and the Bingo cards with purple. Then layer on bingo cards and using pop dots place bunny over them.

Add White pearl pen around edges of Bingo Card.

Adhere pink flowers around the upper edge of popsickle sticks.

Finish by adding pink silk ribbon and fibers through hole. Now you are ready to give with a very special Easter goodie.

Here are the products I used to create this amazing tag.
Have fun creating your own tags.
Happy Easter

STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES......Art Journal

Good Morning my Paper Peeps!

So I have finally did it I started my art journal and each month I will be doing a fun filled page and share how to do it. This month I wanted to remind myself what is most important in life and with Spring and all the amazing flowers blooming everywhere I thought it should be stopping and smelling the roses. so here is the page I created.

Products you will need
your art journal
Glimmer Mist in Money Bags and Blue Night
Distress ink in Vintage Photo
Fun artsy template
Image from Gecko Galz Beauty Unbound
Foil Washi Tape
Canvas Flowers by Paper Studio
brown ink pen

Spray your page with your two colors of Glimmer Mist and let dry.

Cut out your 4"x6" image and adhere to the center of your page.

Next take your template and brown ink and lightly ink on designs in different areas. This adds amazing artistic elements to your page.

To make the it blend better take your inking up into the image.

Add touches of brown ink to areas still showing white. This adds an antique  feel to your page.

Next add your foil washi tape to left edge of image and across the top.

Now your ready to add your artistic talents to the page by adding your page title using your brown pen as well as some well placed butterflies.

Next add swirls or what ever you want to add to give the artistic flair to your page.

Now take your canvas flower and using your two colors spray your flower to give it a pop of color.

Place your flower at the tape connections.

Finish your page by adding some fun pearls around your image using your pearl pen.

And there is the finished page, you do not have to make an art journal complicated to have fun and be arty.
I hope this inspires you to go out and create your own art journal.
